What ships
Five tiles come on: Music Player, Timer, Weather, World clocks, Bluetooth. Games and Pocket are notch icons. Everything else waits in Settings → Library. Install puts it on the notch. Remove sends it back to the library, not the + tray.
- Library — Settings → Library. A short gold “Installing” beat (about 1–2 seconds), then the module lands on Modules.
- Modules — what’s actually on the notch. Go to Library is the button for the rest.
- Calculator, Canvas, Mirror, Find My, speed test, translator, voice memos, YouTube save, Spotify save, compress, mic check, Noggin Lock — install when you want them.
- Pocket — ships as the coral tray icon. Drop a file on Noggin, drag it out later.
- Voice memos — rename, notes, favorites, and save as MP3 to Downloads (needs ffmpeg, same as Spotify save).
Tap + to hide a shipped tile or notch icon. The + tray only puts those seven back. It does not install the library.
Arcade
Thirteen games. One smile. Each title starts with a how-to. Esc returns to the hub. How to play each game →
- Noggin Run, Flap, Five Letter — the original three. Flap now dies on the floor and the top of the sky, like Flappy Bird.
- Noggin Pong — you vs an NPC. First to 5. Pointer moves the paddle.
- Noggin Blocks — drop, rotate, clear a row.
- Noggin Stack — drop the slab. Cut the overhang.
- Noggin Reflex — wait, then tap GO.
- Noggin Tic-Tac-Toe — three in a row. Local red vs blue, or an NPC on easy, medium, or hard.
- Noggin CPS — clicks per second. 5s through 5m.
- Noggin Snake — eat apples. Don’t hit a wall or your tail.
- Noggin Color Patterns — watch the colors. Tap them back.
- Noggin Blackjack — buy in $100–$1000. Beat the dealer to 21.
- Noggin Stack4 — connect four. Local red vs blue, or an NPC on easy, medium, or hard.
Noggin Lock
- Library notch icon. Tap it, or press ⌃⌥G from any app.
- Hover stays closed. Noggin only grows ears, with the lock on the right.
- A toast on the way on and the way off. The lip expands for both.
- Clicking Noggin does not turn it off. ⌃⌥G does. ⌃⌥G is not swallowed by the volume/brightness handler.
The notch
- Edit on screen — Settings → Notch. Size the idle notch and expanded island on the display. That is the only place to change those dimensions.
- Settings gear is white. Chrome icons, gear, and plus share one 22×22 row with 6pt spacing.
- Volume and brightness bars (Settings → Notch) replace the MacOS overlay. Sonoma and Sequoia use the event tap. Tahoe remaps those keys so the system HUD never draws. Accessibility makes hold-repeat extra reliable.
- MacOS 14 through 26. Sequoia does not shove notch content into the camera cutout. Tahoe Settings keep the older chrome so buttons do not vanish under Liquid Glass.
