Hear yourself before the call

Mic check is a library tile. Tone plays Funk. Record captures a second. Play back is that take. Use it before a call, or before you trust Voice memos.

Play a tone, or record a second and hear it back

The actual moves

  1. Install Mic check from Settings → Library. Amber tile on home.
  2. Tone plays the MacOS Funk sound, so you know speakers work.
  3. Record asks for the microphone the first time. Allow it in System Settings if MacOS prompts.
  4. The meter moves while you talk. Tap Play back to hear that take.

This does not keep the recording. Voice memos is the notch icon if you want to save it. Mic check is just a sanity check.
