Now playing follows the source

Noggin shows one track. Pause, skip, and the play bar talk to that same source. If Spotify is on screen and YouTube is in a tab, Noggin will not unpause Spotify to “fix” YouTube. Controls follow whatever is actually making sound.

Hover the notch to peek what’s playing.

What talks to what

  1. Spotify and Apple Music: Noggin talks to the app. Pause in Noggin pauses that app.
  2. YouTube or other browser video: Noggin uses the system media remote. Pause in Noggin pauses the tab.
  3. Home and the idle notch always show the same source. If the names disagree, quit Noggin and reopen it.

Music Player ships as a tile. Hide it with + in the notch, or the switch in Settings → Modules.
